DataGrillen is a Microsoft Data Platform event in Lingen, Germany.

It has grown from a 30 person event to a 220 person event, while remaining completely free for attendees. The event is completely financed via sponsors and volunteers.

As a sponsor you get access to a highly motivated audience of data professionals from across Europe (2018 event split was 60% German, 20% Dutch, 15% Belgian and 5% other)

The venue is provided free of charge by the venue owners, but food, drinks and logistics costs for the event need covering. The entire finances are poured straight into making the event great for attendees, no profit is made at all.
